Repeat sign-ins as the same test user

Pinning skips the user picker for a chosen configuration in your browser. It is available with an eligible Pro or Enterprise plan; the public demo lets you try it without signup.

Try the complete loop

  1. Start the session-pinning demo and choose Pin and sign in for a user.
  2. The demo shows Signed in as that user. Sign out and choose Sign in again: the picker is skipped.
  3. Choose Manage pin (opens in a new tab). On the runtime page choose Clear pin, then return to the original demo tab.
  4. Choose Sign in again. The user picker returns, so you can choose someone else.

What the pin remembers

The pin applies to the configuration in that browser for up to 30 days. It affects every app/case using that configuration, including other demo cases. Signing out removes the app’s session/tokens; it does not clear the pin. Clear it explicitly on the configuration’s pinned-user page.

When the picker still appears

Apps that send prompt=login or prompt=select_account explicitly ask to show the picker, even with a pin. MSAL.NET interactive commonly uses select-account behavior. The walkthrough’s start/restart can show the picker; its repeat-sign-in action does not force it.

A configuration with just one user skips the picker on every plan without pinning. If pinning is unavailable, an existing cookie does not grant the feature. Configure ordinary sign-in behavior before relying on a convenience shortcut.
